Pets are great, and as a pet owner I highly recommend them. . .especially dogs! My Snack Pack is a trio of well trained pups, but even they have accidents. In the rare case that it does happen, I’m usually around to witness and promptly clean up, but I’m sure there are times when I have not been present and crimes were in progress. When I was offered the chance to try out UV Sight’s UV Flashlight Pet Stain Detector to find pet stains in my house I thought “absolutely”!

Needless to say, after receiving the UV Blacklight, I did procrastinate a bit when it came time to playing detective and finding any suspect stains. Hey, ignorance is bliss! Nonetheless, I had to get down to business see what the light would reveal. I turned off the light in the room and I went to a section of my carpet where I deduced that there could be a stain hiding out and, voilà!  Ask and thou shall receive. After identifying the suspect stain, I was able to arrest it with an enzyme eating carpet treatment I keep in the house. I now have peace of mind that my carpets are definitely clean and not just surface clean.

My Ology UV Sight UV Blacklight is a cool little tool. The biggest plus is that it comes with the batteries installed and ready to go. It is a little harder to see stains in a brightly lit room, but turning off the lights or waiting until the room naturally darkens is a simple solution. the UV Blacklight is small and portable so you can pop it in your purse or your overnight bag. It’s not just for finding stains your pets may leave behind.  All I will say is turn off the lights in your bathroom or kitchen and turn on the blacklight.  Enough said.
