Priority Chef Potato Ricer
Do you love mashed potatoes, but hate the effort they take to make? I don’t know about you, but I make my mashed potatoes the old fashioned way – with a masher and a lot of elbow grease, not to mention the time it takes to peel those potatoes – ugh! Now there’s a new way to make the creamiest mashed potatoes on the planet and I want to share it with you.
How do I make the creamiest mashed potatoes on the planet? With a Potato Ricer by Priority Chef of course. Why a potato ricer you ask? Using a potato ricer yields a much finer potato, thus resulting in a creamier mash. When you mash potatoes using a masher or a fork, typically you release the starch with each mash, which usually results in mashed potatoes that have the texture of wallpaper paste – ain’t nobody got time for THAT!!
I decided I had better try this potato ricer to see if it would really make a difference. I boiled some potatoes and with the skin on until they were fork tender. Time for my first test.
I put the potato in the hamper and using the soft non-slip handles, I simply pressed the potato through with the skin on. After adding butter I’m left with the creamiest mashed potatoes EVER!! I don’t even have to add milk or cream to soften the texture anymore – that saves some calories!!
It does take a little bit of effort to squeeze the potatoes through the ricer, but much less effort overall than mashing with a fork or a masher.
Next up I tried some fresh banana which turned out very smooth and creamy and I ate it right out of the bowl! Oh my goodness!! Although I have no babies of my own – except my three furry babies (the Snack Pack), I can see why a mommy would want to use this to make her own baby food. What better way to go than making your very own fresh baby food without all of the additives, preservatives and other bad ingredients found in packaged, ready-to-eat store brought products.

I plan to try a host of other items in this ricer just to see what can be done with it. In fact, I know my mother is going to love this the next time she has to make sweet potato pies for the family – she won’t have to peel all of those potatoes!!!
