Wine Concierge Wine Aerator
Admittedly I am not a major consumer of wine, meaning that I enjoy a glass every now and then. I am not a connoisseur and I can’t tell you about bouquets or pick out elements of the aroma, blah blah blah. One thing I do know – a good glass versus a not so good glass of wine.
I’ve always heard and read that wine needs to breath, because it releases the aromas and flavors of the wine. Apparently it is really important in the wine world, but I would simply open a bottle and commence to pouring, not thinking that aerating could make such a dramatic difference. Well, boy was I wrong!!
After I received the wine aerator from Wine Concierge, I decided to call my mom who loves her wine, grab a bottle and try it out. I truly did not think much of it, and was definitely not expecting the wine to taste any different at all. I poured a bit straight into a glass, and then poured a bit into another glass using the aerator.
To my shock and utter disbelief I was actually impressed at the difference in the taste of the wine poured with the aerator. It truly was more fragrant and aromatic and the flavor of the wine was seriously enhanced. I really could not believe that pouring wine through the aerator would create such a vast difference.
I sipped from the glass poured without the aerator, and came very close to spitting it out – that’s just how different it tasted from the aerated serving.
Mind = Blown!
I love the design of the aerator as it looks like there is a wine glass inside of the unit. There’s an included screen to filter out any particles and a handy stand for displaying it on your counter top or your bar if you are lucky enough to have one. It also comes with a black velvet pouch.
Place it in the pouch, stick it in your purse and take it with you if you go out dinner, or visit friends for a dinner party. I promise your friends will be impressed and you will be the life of the party!
Again, I am not your average “glass of wine a day” drinker, and I don’t imbibe often, but in the future when I uncork any bottle of wine, it will be served using the wine aerator by Wine Concierge
