When it comes to flashlights and fans, I have to redirect my husband (Hubs) each time we pass any of these two items in a store. He has gone through so many fans I can’t even begin to count. When Ozeri offered me the chance to try one of their products to review, which one do you think I picked? Yes. . .a fan, but mostly because I knew it would be put to good use. I also knew that it would have to undergo the incredibly tough “Hubs’ Fan Viability Test”. He truly is a fan of fans, an aficionado of sorts. Does the Ozeri 3x Tower Fan pass the test?

Ozeri 3x Tower Fan Review
Hubs and I were so excited when UPS showed up at the door with a big white box containing the Ozeri 3x Tower Fan. I rushed to unpack and assemble it, which was relatively easy once I found the instruction booklet. There’s only three things you need to do. First, peruse the instruction booklet to fully understand all of the wonderful features of this fan. Second, attach the base to the tower which is a simple screw together process using the included nut. No tools required. Third, install the included battery (thank you Ozeri) in the remote. Yes, it comes with a remote which works from a fairly long distance. The fan we received is black, and the base is made of sturdy (tempered) glass. The tower is just shy of 4 feet high once attached to the stand, and surprisingly, this fan takes up very little space
The Ozeri 3x Tower Fan is equipped with three small fans housed in the tower, each one is able to operate solo, as a duet or as a trio. Therefore you can achieve low, medium or high airflow without the noise of a traditional fan. It sounds more like air movement or a blowing wind rather than fan blades whirring. To my count and as advertised, you can get up to 9 different settings.. . .whew!
This fan does not stop here, oh no! There are more cool features that I have yet to see on any fan. Not that they don’t exist, I just haven’t seen one yet. You can set this fan to make it feel like a cool breeze. . .you know that feeling you get when you’re sitting outside on a comfortable sunny day, and there’s a slight breeze ebbing and flowing? Just sitting back with a frosty Mojito in hand, imagining myself on a tropical island, relaxing while the breeze gently kisses my skin.
I digress – I think I need a vacation!
Ahem. . . in addition to the breeze mode, there is also a sleep mode. This one makes the sound rise and fall, and in turn it lulls you to sleep. It’s a bit similar to the breeze mode, but the sound of the fan(s) play a bigger part in this particular mode. Hubs loves the white noise of a fan, and admits that it took him a bit to get used to the non-constant sound, but at least we know the passive noise reduction technology actually works. Now he loves the way the sound puts him to sleep. (I couldn’t tuck him in any better 🙂
One nice feature is the 7.5 hour timer. Admittedly, 7.5 seems a bit random, but you can set it in 30 minute increments. Once a fan is turned on around here, it rarely ever gets turned off, so I may not use the timer often, but having it is better than not.
On top off all of this, the Ozeri 3x Tower Fan oscillates about 180 degrees, easily and quietly while performing all of these unique settings. It looks a little top heavy, but it’s sturdy on its base. Hubs has it tucked in the corner of the bedroom and it oscillates freely and doesn’t get in my way. Running almost constantly for the past 4 weeks, it is still as quiet and runs as well as it did day one.
Personally, I like the breeze feature best. Never one to want a constant forced wind forced upon me, the breeze makes it just right, especially while sleeping at night. This fan pushes out very good air, and having experience with a vast variety of fans, the little noise this fan might make is minimal compared to some “tornado” and “vortex” fans I’ve used.
The Ozeri 3X Tower Fan is well constructed and, in this household very useful. I think I would call it a Personalized Air Circulation Station. The style or color may not fit every decor, but its functionality should suit most. After living with this fan, we’re actually enjoying all of the bells and whistles and feel it is worth the price. Hubs has a reputation of running fans until they run no more, so this one is in it for the LONG haul. For more information check out Ozeri.com, or just click the Amazon link below to go shopping!
