Pond Maintenance

The fountain was successfully installed in Part 4 of this series and the pond dye from Part 3 was still doing the job. Unfortunately, I have had a major setback, and since I committed to sharing this project I have to give you the good along with the bad. I’m not going to talk about it too much, because this one is definitely more of a video post.

At the moment the pond maintenance was abruptly halted and is now having an “Oh no, what happened’? moment. Weeds continue to grow around the pond even though we have not had a good soaking rain in a long time. You will see in the video just how low the water level is and how much growth has returned.

Not for lack of trying, I had the pond looking pretty good, until my weed whacker died and put my pond maintenance on hold.  I have not yet had the time nor the money to replace it, and you will see the consequences. 

Do you have any great tips for pond restoration or weeding?
