The Matcha DNA Milk Frother is so hassle free. No cords to plug in or trip over – this is battery operated. I have to give a thumbs down for not including batteries – you know that is a pet peeve of mine.

Luckily, I always keep a stash of batteries around. This one uses 2AA batteries. The overall size is small which makes it very easy to store.

Once the batteries are installed the milk frother is ready to go. I used 1% milk, as I have read where these things work better with milk containing less fat than whole milk.

I learned the hard way that I should put the frother in the milk before turning it on. The first time I turned it on first and milk went all over the place. I hold it at an angle and move it up and down and all around. check out the video below to see it in action.

After about 40-60 seconds the milk was creamy and frothed to perfection. Testing how long the froth would last, I let the cup sit for 1-1½ minutes. I noticed that the volume was diminished a bit, leaving the foam looking more like soap suds, so you’ll want to pour your frothed milk into your drink immediately after frothing.
