I must admit, I am usually one to skip the whole eyelash curling step, mostly because I don’t like the pinching that happens with most curlers and I never seem to place the curler just right. Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler by Izy Trends is a new eyelash curler on the market that claims to curl without pinching or tugging, so I was eager to try it out.

What’s in the box? The Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler by Izy Trends comes packaged in a pink box with a fashionable girl on the cover who appears to be on the move! Makes me think this particular curler is geared towards teens/young adults based on the graphics, but the curler itself can be used by anyone. The crushable box is a bit strange for packaging an eyelash curler, but it’s a cute box.
What about the curler? The first thing I notice are the handles (where you put your fingers) has what seems to be a little black rubber/plastic gasket on each side of the rings, which make for a better and more comfortable grip.
It also comes with two silicone pads – one installed and one refill. Loverly Lashes is lightly etched on the back of the top portion of the curler – cute touch.
How well do they work? I tried the curler two ways. The first time I used it on my natural lashes. Since my lashes are pretty short, I applied a clear mascara to lengthen my lashes a bit. Short lashes are also the reason why I have difficulty placing any curler just right. I don’t really practice to make it perfect. There was a little pinching with my natural lashes, but it could be user error too?!? Once I got the curler seated right my lashes were curled nicely.
Next I tried the curler while wearing 3D fiber lashes. It was easy to get my lashes placed correctly. I was able to get it seated and I gently squeezed the curler together for about 10 seconds. I did notice that some of the fibers did come off on the pad after curling, but with fibers, that is to be expected. Again, the lashes curled.
Jaxs-Tip: In the rare event that I use an eyelash curler I always clean my silicone pads by using a cotton swab dipped in oil free eye makeup remover, and wiping the pad after use. My pads last a little longer and look clean the next time I use them.
Last up – falsies. This was extremely easy to do: first because I am used to using a curler with falsies, and second because the lashes were long and easy to place. Again, squeezing the curler together with a bit more pressure for 10-15 seconds resulted in a very nicely curled demi lash.
So what’s the final score? Did The Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler curl my lashes without any pinching or tugging? Natural lashes – not so much as there was some pinching, but no tugging. Fiber lashes worked okay, and the false lashes curled really well. I felt no tugging and the pinching I did feel was not painful enough to draw tears to my eyes. . .and mess up my makeup! With a 100% LIFETIME guarantee, you really can’t go wrong.
Overall, it’s a good little curler. The protected handles make it somewhat easier on your fingers and they do the job they are meant to do – which is curl eyelashes. It would make a great gift for a young lady, but would be appropriate in any makeup kit. With Christmas about to knock on the door The Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler would make great stocking stuffers.
