I’ve had some experience with Konjac facial sponges, and I really like how they treat my skin, especially the ones with added bamboo charcoal. I like they way it levels out my pH balance and it helps to control any breakouts I may experience. The Japanese Konjac Sponge Puff Review

What’s in the box? The packaging is really cute, Japanese in theme, and it sets the mood for what in the box. This Japanese Konjac Sponge with added Bamboo Charcoal is larger than most sponges I have used in the past, which gives me more of a cleaning surface. The sponge/puff comes equipped with a string that is placed further towards the center unlike other brands I have tried. With this, I feel like there is less likelihood that the string will separate from the puff due to normal use.How does it work?  I simply place the dry puff in a small ramekin that I use special for this purpose, and fill it with water to let the puff soak and get soft. I then apply my cleanser, usually a foaming cleanser. I don’t like to use any cleansers with micro-exfoliators as I don’t want these particles living in the puff. After cleansing my skin, I run it under water and press it gently between my palms to rinse out any remaining cleanser. You don’t want to twist, wring or squeeze this puff as it can damage the fibers.

What’s Jaxs’-ology on The Japanese Konjac Sponge? I really like this sponge/puff, mostly because of the larger size, and I find this puff gets softer quicker than other brands I have used in the past. There are no harmful ingredients, as it is made from the Konjac plant root, so it’s all natural. The added bamboo charcoal really helps to alleviate my skin of redness, inflammation and breakouts, so I can use it as a preventative measure or a curative measure. I can even place this puff in boiling water or microwave it in water for two minutes to kill any lingering bacteria so that my puff stays clean and ready for use.

The Japanese Konjac Sponge with added Bamboo Charcoal is really nice, it works very well, and would be a great addition for any skin care routine. It is a definite yes on my list. This could even make a great gift for a young girl just starting her beauty routine, or for a girlfriend, mother or sister. Hey, we all need great skin care products, and this is one I would definitely recommend.
