It’s time once again for Big Brother 16 Updates & Spoilers Weekend Wrap 8/30. Thursday’s live show left us in the beginning stages of the HOH competition. Everyone participated, except Cody the outgoing HOH.
During the competition, Derrick gave up on the big snowman and went for the 5K, of course with the blessing of the Kum-ba-yah circle. It was a hard road, but he won the money. Christine, Frankie, and Nicole were pretty much in the middle of the pack in the same order. It was apparent early on that this was going to be a win for Caleb. His back and forth was accented with military cadence running through his head. . . and his mouth. He pumped himself up throughout the comp.
Poor Victoria. Watching her make her way up and back was hilarious. She had a style like no other – I think they will give that some air time on Sunday’s show. Nevertheless, I give the girl a lot of credit. She played the entire time as awkward as can be, spilling liquid and taking several spills herself. Watching her was quite hilarious, but she did not quit. We all know how concerned Victoria is when it comes to being on national television, but she was out there to play. . .as best she could.
At the final stages of the comp, Caleb was in the lead, followed closely by Christine, and Frankie bringing up the rear. All hope for Nicole and Victoria was lost. It was a bit of a nail biter, because I don’t think Caleb knew that he could reach for the ball, and not wait for it to float to the top. He went back what seems to me like 2 too many times, but he finally reached in and claimed HOH. Christine was a scary close second reaching her ball mere seconds after Caleb.
Chatter after the comp sounds like the Detonators/Bomb Squad are slowly, but surely turning on each other.
Frankie is obsessing over the very loud applause during Donny’s eviction, and the fact that Donny was so beloved by America. He is also bitter about America denying the Team America task, so now he claims he can’t make anyone like him so he might as well not give a f%^#. He is in his usual position, attached to the new HOH. Even though Frankie and Caleb are close in the house, we saw Frankie’s work during Cody’s reign.
Cody and Christine are now complaining about Frankie, and of course now Christine “can’t stand him” ! Cody has flat out discussed with Derrick that Christine is simply a floater and she has done nothing in this game.
Nicole is playing nice with everyone, especially Christine, but she has resolved once again to go on the block. She and Victoria are starting to get a bit close, perhaps because Nicole was the first to find Victoria in the bathroom. This makes all of the guys nervous that the three girls are hanging out more and may go after them as a girls alliance.
Predictably as it has been this season, Caleb does what we all guessed he would do and he put Nicole (of course) and Christine (no shocker) on the block. He even made Nicole a Have-Not for the second week in a row. Christine was put up, because the guys are afraid that if she wins veto, she would use it to take down Nicole and one of the boys would have to go up. If either Nicole or Christine comes off the block, Victoria is the replacement nom, although the guys are calling it a back door plan. . .uh
Time for Veto. Your winner is Christine. Of course, she is going to remove herself from the block, and the chatter is that Caleb may put up Victoria and try to get her out. Who knows. I still think Nicole is the target, but we will have to wait and see. I mean, it is only Sunday.
Real quick notes: Cody and Victoria got really drunk Saturday night. Cody won a dinosaur suit during the veto comp that he has to wear for a week. Christine now hates Frankie, because everything has to center around him. What else is new. That’s it for this weekend.
Tomorrow is Labor Day (end of summer again??) and I am going to end it here and go get ready to get my party on! Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!
