Although not new to skincare, the use of serums have gained more popularity over the past few years. My sister is an esthetician (check out her posts here) and if I must say, a bit of a serum junkie.  She is always looking for great serums, and she usually shares a few samples with me.  I have been schooled by her on the benefits of using a vitamin C serum.  So when I was offered this opportunity, how could I pass it up?

I started using the serum about three weeks ago. I have combination/sensitive skin as well as allergies, so I have to be careful about products I use on my face. I am pleased to say I had no allergic reaction to this product which.  I used it once at night without fail after cleansing and toning my face.

The serum is shipped in a dark blue bottle which protects it from light. The pump attachment it comes with is really a plus because I don’t have to open and close the bottle every time I use it. If I accidentally knock the bottle over, there’s no mess, no spills, and most important no waste! One pump is enough to cover my face and neck area. The serum is clear and odorless and has a consistency very much like water. Most of the serums I have used in the past are usually a little thicker and feel sticky or tacky on the face. I find this one easy to apply and it goes a long way.  It feels nice on my skin, and the best part is that I don’t have to wait too long for it to absorb into my skin so I can apply my moisturizer rather quickly.

Since using this serum, I’ve noticed an overall brightness to my skin and a more overall even skin tone. My skin looks and feels hydrated and has a very healthy glow. Even my husband noticed a difference, and that is saying A LOT! My face also feels a little more toned and tightened as well. I have noticed that the fine lines under my eyes are starting to dissipate, and the dark circles are brightening up as well.

Overall, I really love Day by Day Beauty Vitamin C Serum and I am going to continue using it to see if I have any further results. My mother and sister are even begging me to share.  It is an FDA approved, cruelty-free product made in the USA.  Of note, this serum is 98% natural and 78% organic with great ingredients like Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to name a few.
