I bet you would love to know about the Five Guys right. Well, it wasn’t really five guys, but today was a bit of an odd day. I woke up this morning feeling good and ready to take on a few projects, but that’s not exactly how the day went.
I was productive, but the energy was…off. However, there is always work to be done, so I started with preparing my little outdoor living space. I still have a bit of decorating to do, but I got the major part done. Such a pain to have to take that stuff down for the winter, but no whining, I chose to live here.
Then, I finally had someone come and pay me to take my Jeep Wrangler away (yeah I said pay me). She was “RFUNRIDE” for 17 years. Admittedly, it was a little bittersweet. I know it’s just a car, I’m not crazy, but she was my first Jeep. I now know that once you have a Wrangler in your life, you will always want a Wrangler in your life. It’s a cool little family of owners. Most of us will actually wave or peace sign to each other as we pass.
It was time for Jeepers departure, and the sweetest little couple dropped by to pick her up. They had to be in their late 60’s to mid 70’s. Sweet as they could be. The husband wasn’t getting around to swiftly, so he of course had his wife doing all of the bending and getting and running to get it up on the trailer. I did what I was taught to do and I promptly stepped in to help. We talked about music, aches and pains, general stuff. It was a nice little visit with the nicest couple of people.
Then, much to my dismay, Jelly my boxer finally realized she could jump the fence. Too many people just out of reach for her not to try and grab some attention. So now it’s a done deal. She knows she can do it and she did it another three times, the third time taking off up the driveway and running all the way down to my mother’s house. I got her back and she knew I was none too pleased. If I’m honest, I was truly tripping when she ran, although I knew full well she would come back. She was simply trying to follow my brother who had just left on the ATV (she loves/hates machines). I was just hoping that she wouldn’t get hit by a car. Now Jelly is on lockdown. No going outside without supervision until we fix the vulnerable spot in the fence…ugh! See – MORE WORK! Thanks Jelly!
I potted all of my herbs, and planted some tomatoes. Thought about getting some flowers soon too. After all of that, I simply did not feel like cooking, and decided to have a guilty pleasure. If I was going to be guilty, might as well be guilt with the best. So, we decided to truly make it an odd day with Five Guys, We drove about 20 miles to Five Guys, got some burgers and fries and went home to eat, play with the (snack-pack) dogs outside a bit and watch some TV.
The highlight of the day: On the way home I turned on The Groove on Sirius/XM and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was now the Michael Jackson channel. I don’t know if this is a permanent change, but it was at least for this day. They were playing old and “new” Michael. Got To Be There, Chicago, Rock With You, Blue Gangsta, Remember The Time, Man In The Mirror, It’s Just Another Part of Me. . .all the way home! Yes, I was singing all the way home, sitting in the passenger seat dancing! Now let’s talk about that halogram. . .odd!
Like I said, it was an odd day with Five guys.
A little-ology.
