Although I am an entertainer by trade, I love blogging, but I continue to look for an easier way to get my reviews and stories written quicker, as well as a means to record song ideas. The VASO VM690 Ultra Thin Portable PCM Digital Voice Recorder might be just the thing that changes everything.
Blogging takes a lot of work, believe it or not, to stay current and give your readers something new to read often. Although I can put fingers to keyboard, I prefer to actually vocally record my reviews and thoughts, so that I can upload and simply edit – which saves me a lot of time.
Whats in the Box?
First up, this recorder is ultra sleek and slim and measures 3.9 x 1.3 x 0.3 inches total and weighs only 1.8 ounces. This makes it extremely handy to carry in my purse without taking up too much space. It comes with earbuds and a micro USB cable for connecting to a computer. A handy users manual also comes in the box, so you don’t need to go to a website to get it working.
Practical Use
If I am out and about and have a great idea for a story, I just pull out my VASO Digital Voice Recorder and record my thoughts in the moment. Then once I get ready to do my review or my story, I can connect the earbuds, or connect it to my computer and just transcribe what I recorded. As a song writer, it is also handy for recording new song ideas as well – and I can separate music recordings from vocal recordings too.
Recorder Details
The quality of the playback is stellar. I have never used a digital recorder that offers such high quality playback. I was really surprised at the quality and volume level of my first recording. The speaker on the recorder itself provides great sound without the use of the supplied earbuds.
What do I like about this recorder?
I can use it as an MP3 player too. It outputs to MP3 and WAV. I’m also using this recorder to create game show sounds for a gameshow I host on Periscope (check out some of my past broadcasts here @Jaxsology). Once I record a sound, I upload it to my computer and create a sound board for my shows.
This digital voice recorder also features a built-in omnidirectional condenser stereo microphone as well as support for a plug in microphone via the input jack or micro USB. There is also an earphone input for using the recorder as an MP3 player or listening to your recordings in private. You can also expand the 8GB digital recorder with the SD micro card expansion slot which supports up to 32GB.
The recorder supports PCM 1536kbps up to 22 hours, and HQ 128Kbps for up to 560 hours. That is a lot of recording time even without the SD card. This recorder can also be used as a USB drive – what? There is also an OLED display and a password/lock function to keep your recordings safe.
The VASO Digital Voice Recorder is turning out to be my best blogging buddy. I really like the VASO VM690 Ultra Thin Portable PCM Digital Voice Recorder for its functionality, size and quality. This would work great for musicians, reporters, students and more. If you are in the market for a great digital recorder without the hefty price, then the VASO Digital Voice Recorder may just be what you are searching for.
