After my doctor told me it would be a good idea to cut down on salt, I gave in and started using pepper in abundance to take the place of salt in my meals. I no longer grab the salt shaker when sitting down to eat, it’s all about the pepper! Being a huge fan of fresh ground pepper, I have gone through about 3 different pepper grinders in the past several years. Trust me, I put them through the paces daily! Buying pepper already ground, you know the kind you find in your spice aisle, is not for me and I was in need of another grinder. I think I have found a really good one in the Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder by Ozeri, and I want to share it with you.

See full disclosure here. The Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder by Ozeri is a winner! I was offered the chance to try out this pepper grinder, and of course it was a no brainer. It could not have come at a more perfect time, as I had just laid my last pepper grinder to rest.
Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder Review
With no time to waste, I immediately unpacked the grinder and installed 4AA batteries. I’ll admit, I did not have time to read instructions, but that’s because I consider myself an aficionado when it comes to pepper grinders. Plus, my food was getting cold! I found it quite easy to install the batteries and the grinder was up and working in no time. However, I would encourage you to read the instructions – don’t be like me – I would not want you to risk breaking this fabulous grinder.
The grinding process was quick and easy. The chamber is made of ceramic which makes it very durable. It’s not too noisy and it also sports a light that comes in handy, especially during a romantic dinner for two. You can keep the lights nice and low, and still be able to see where that pepper is going to go. It also comes in handy for those late night snacks that I am known to have every now and then 😉
The design is sleek and the material is fingerprint resistant. Now, that does not mean you won’t get fingerprints on the grinder, but it is very easy to clean as well. Set a course for fine or coarse grind and you’re on your way to delicious fresh ground pepper. I have yet to experience any clogs or jams and it continues to work nicely.
If I were asked “what is the one thing you do not like about this grinder?” I would have to answer there are actually two things. First, every time I picked it up I would accidentally press the button due to its location. However, with a bit of practice and ample use, I figured out how to pick it up without grinding pepper all over the place. Just a tip: when you pick up the grinder, either pick it up in the middle of the body or at the very top and you won’t experience this problem. The second is probably that it takes four AA batteries instead of two. batteries are not cheap! In my mind, these are very small issues.
This grinder is from the makers of the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale with BMI which I reviewed earlier this year, and you can check out that review here. I am a fan of Ozeri products and this is another great one to add to the list. I have even posted a video review and you can watch it on Youtube. (Don’t forget to subscribe while you’re there).
If you want to try one for yourself, I highly recommend the Artesio Electric Pepper Grinder by Ozeri. Check out their website, or grab one today at Amazon.com.
