It’s time for another Jaxs-Tip! Most women love a great manicure, but removing acrylic nails, gel and glitter polish can be tricky, and you must use acetone to remove them completely. Here’s a quick tip for removing polish and keeping your hands looking great.
We girls know how great acetone polish remover works, but it is very drying and damaging to the skin. When I am removing polish from one hand, the tips of my fingers get dry and the other hand holding the cottonball…well we won’t even go there! I needed to find a way to minimize the drying process.
Here’s my Jaxs-Tip: Get yourself a plastic fold over sandwich bag. I started with the bags, but now I actually buy disposable food service gloves from the dollar store. I pick them up whenever I see them and I use them all the time.
Whatever you use, place the bag/glove on the hand using the cottonball and remove the polish as normal. Yes, your fingertips will be a bit dry, but it is much better than your whole hand. The best part…when you are done with the cottonballs and anything else that needs to be thrown away, just place it all in the bag or glove and toss it in the trash. Easy clean up! Remember, wash and moisturize your hands very well after using acetone polish remover.
Hope this tip works for you. Let me know if you try it.
